The residential students are provided with quality food at highly reasonable cost, so that they maintain the best health. Moreover, as they are in their formative years of physical growth, the importance of the nutritious food becomes manifold. Maintaining a good mess undoubtedly needs good planning resources, caring staff and other necessary facilities.
We have a very spacious dining hall with a capacity of 500 people to dine at a time. It has been equipped in full, with all modern facilities. Staffs in each section concerned effectively carry out all the mess activities. Besides well-experienced cooks, the job of serving, cleaning etc., are regularly taken care of by the staff on duty, as per shift system.
Every care is taken to maintain hygienic procedures in cooking and maintenance of cleanliness. Steam cleaning method and hot water are used to clean the cooking vessels and other utensils. Water is purified using Aquaguard 'Hi-Flo' water purifiers. Providing nutritious food is given high-priority. The management usually decides the menu on the basis of preference from students at the mess committee meeting approved. The menu is decided keeping in view the preference of children and best of Nutrition.
Apart from daily supply of fresh vegetables and milk, other necessary stuffs are regularly supplied as per the requirements minimum two times a week. We are assisted by house on duty in the dining hall.
Further children are encouraged to be regular and clean in their eating habits. Serving the children in a homely manner is ensured so that, children never become negligent in their food habits. To avoid monotony, moonlight dinner is arranged once in every fortnight.
